Goals and Objectives

  • To shape the connection and relationship between children's and the natural world's system in early childhood with experiential learning
  • To shape food choices of vegetables as a desirable food in early childhood
  • To create engaging learning opportunities related to STEM and STEAM

Expected Outcomes

  • For the children to create an emotional attachment and sense of ownership and pride with the food they grow


  • For them to experience the seeds germination, nurture, growth, and the use of plants as food


  • To develop nurture and empathy by creating a connection to nature and living environments


  • To illustrate the importance and value of diversity in nature and as parallel model in human society


  • Understanding of where food comes from


  • To expand taste formation


  • To shape parent's food choices by demonstrating children's enjoyment of fresh fruit and vegetables


  • To offer with nature a counter balance to technology and consumerism driven values (hedonist adaptation issues)
